How careful are you when you give a website or application access to your email, files, calendar or contacts? OAuth phishing gets younto use your login and MFA to grant hackers access to your details.
OAuth is useful technology, but it can be misused:
✅ The login is genuine, but the application asking for access is not
➡️ MFA still works because it isn't bypassed.
⚡ Changing your password may not revoke access already granted
⭐ Connected applications need to be reviewed as carefully as active logins
There are definitely lessons here for business owners, particularly if a request to connect an application arrives in an email or message.
