Tools for Dictating Notes Efficiently (2024/153)

In today's work environment, finding ways to save time during routine tasks can add up significantly over the day and week.

An example of this is taking notes after consultations and this was a question that got asked in a group that I'm part of.

Here's what I found.

Dictation Tools for Mobile devices

Google Voice Typing: For Android users, Google Voice Typing is a built-in feature that allows you to dictate text into any text field.

Simply tap the microphone icon on your keyboard and start speaking.

iPhone Magic Keyboard Dictate: iPhone users can use the built-in dictation feature by tapping the microphone icon on the keyboard. This tool is highly accurate and integrates seamlessly with all iOS apps.

My preferred Notepad Apps: Choose a notepad app that syncs across devices. Popular options include:

  • Zoho Notebook
  • Microsoft OneNote
  • Google Keep
